Eva's Initiatives for Homeless Youth
Toronto has the largest homeless population in Canada with around 2,000 youth experiencing homelessness every night. Not a statistic to be proud of and one that needs to change.

For over 30 years, Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth has been a leader in preventing, reducing and ending youth homelessness. Each night, 120+ vulnerable young people experiencing homelessness find a safe place to stay, an offering of nutritious food and crisis 'help' services at Eva’s shelters and residential facility.
“Knowing that there is a safe place away from the streets and where I can see a better future for myself, that is real hope.” Kylie, Satellite resident.
Over 5,000 youth, like Kylie, access vital services each year such as harm reduction, health, family counselling, housing and employment. Eva’s Print Shop, a one-of-a-kind social enterprise, provides training, internships and work placements for youth interested in the graphic and print sector. Every dollar of profit is reinvested into shelter, food, caring support, and basic needs for homeless youth at Eva’s.

This past year has been a challenging time for all of us, and the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic has exasperated the homelessness crisis while exposing inequalities for homeless youth. Eva’s essential frontline workers have been there every step of the way supporting these resilient young people, helping them to start a new journey towards a healthier, more prosperous future.
