The Society is proud to confirm our support and commitment to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) as a National Matching Gift Partner for the first part of 2026.
As Canada’s largest charitable health organization dedicated to the blood cancer community, LLSC continues to see a significant increase in demand for research funding and patient support. Community leadership and philanthropy play a vital role in advancing life-saving, cure-focused research.
In Canada, more than 155,000 people are living with or in remission from one of the 137 types of blood cancers, and approximately every 17 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. These statistics underscore the urgency of continued investment in research and care.
The Society’s Committee of Management recognizes LLSC’s extraordinary work and dedication, as well as the growing need for funding to accelerate progress. As the National Matching Gift Partner for LLSC’s March-April 2026 campaign, the Society, working in collaboration with LLSC, is committed to helping raise more than $200,000 to directly support a Toronto-based researcher and advance critical blood cancer research.
We are honoured to play a leadership role in inspiring generosity across our community and helping ensure that cures for blood cancers are discovered within our lifetime.
Your generosity during this period will be matched, helping to accelerate vital research and provide essential support to patients and families across Canada.
This means:
A $50 gift becomes $100
A $100 gift becomes $200
A $250 gift becomes $500
Your generosity fuels lifesaving research. It ensures that individuals receive personalized support from someone who understands their provincial healthcare system. It helps families navigate treatment, access credible information, and feel less alone during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
But this matching opportunity is available for a limited time.
When you give today, you’re not just making a donation – you’re multiplying hope, support and progress.
Give 2x the impact.
Together, we can ensure no one faces a blood cancer diagnosis without the support they need.
Thank you, and warm regards,
The St. George’s Society of Toronto
