On the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the St. George's Society Toronto is hosting a "Gardens of Toronto” photography competition.
The Society will present a Portfolio to Her Majesty the Queen that highlights the competition of photographed gardens in Toronto.
Entries are welcome from amateurs and professionals alike, Toronto’s most beautiful residential gardens will be selected by the Society’s Committee of Management based on originality, design, and selection and arrangement of plants, flowers, trees, etc.
There is a fee for entering the competition which helps to cover the expense of administration. This fee is $10 for a single image ('Single Entry’), multiple entries are accepted.
With your submission we also ask that you include a few sentences about yourself, your garden and why you are submitting this photograph (200 words maximum).
A few guidelines for your photograph:
Ensure it is taken horizontally (landscape), not vertically;
Choose photographs that were taken within the last three years, if possible;
For the identification of entries, please name your digital files using the following format: <year>_<entry#>_<your name>_<description>.jpg / eg. 2022_1_George Smith_TorontoGardens.jpg.
By submitting a photograph, you represent, acknowledge, and warrant that the submitted photograph is an original photograph created solely by you, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
The competition will open on May 1, 2022, and close on June 30, 2022.

Announcement of the winner(s) will be on July 1, 2022 (Canada Day).

People are not to be included in photographs. More guidelines to be defined.
